A primary goal of Leigh Judo Club is to supportof all of our memebers development through the education of skills, knowledge and understanding. It is our hope that Judo will help to shape your life both on and off the mat in a positive way through many of the principles and lessons embodied within.

To support the education and development of our memebrs we have created an online dojo libarary. Design, developed and filmed by our coaching team, our online Dojo is a private resource containing videos on all aspects of judo to help support the development of a deeper understanding and knowledge of judo principles and support the content within lessons on the mat.

The DJO inlcudes a wide range of content inlcuding the full grading syllabus, individual technical breakdown of techniques, masterclass tutorials, kumikata strategies and drills, development psycholgical tools and skills, insights into competitive judo matches, LTAD planning and also overall framework of lesson plans covering specific positions.

As well as our Online DJO, our piublic social media channels can help you to keep up to date with news and updates about the club. These chanels will also help you to feel part of our community and highlight memories of our journey together.

Be sure to like our Facebook and Instagram pages, follow us on twitter @LeighJudo and Subscribe to us on YouTube. You can also request access to our private WhatsApp group which we use regularly to update our members.

We will remain active on social media and have several updates planned in the coming weeks which we are sure will keep you engaged and longing to return.

In the meantime, stay positive. If you need us, we’re still here.

LJC Family. 🥋

Additionally, we try where possible to live by the values of judo; Courtesy, Courage, Honesty, Honour, Modesty, Respect, Self-Control and Friendship. In this unprecedented time, please remember these values and help others where possible.

The club board have had a long discussion and feel that although the closure is not mandatory. It is the best course of action for our members, families & the wider community. LJC prides itself on promoting healthy lifestyles & looking outwardly, we need to set a good example.

It is with great disappointment that LJC will be temporarily closing with immediate effect due to new Government guidance (16/03/20) relating to social interaction & gatherings. This means planned grading 22nd March & Junior Competition 26th April are now postponed. https://t.co/5a6HlFbSkU
