A 4th Dan, former Great Britain International, Luke is a UKCC Level 4 qualified coach with a Postgraduate Diploma in Advanced Sports Coaching from Sheffield Hallam University. 

Consistently recognised for his high quality coaching and standards winning Coach of the Year and Martyn Lynn Special Contribution To School Sport at WMBC Sport Awards. Luke was presented with the prestigious Postgraduate Diploma Prize in Advanced Sports Coaching and the Sheffield Hallam Innovation Award in recognition for his knowledge, coaching quality, innovation and standards.

Training background
Trained by renowned coach Akinori Hosaka (Kodokan 8th Dan), Luke prides himself on the application of technique in judo. With a strong belief that Judo is ‘More than sport’ with the power to change people’s lives for the better. Luke emphasises the intrinsic values of judo such as developing personal and social skills, instilling a sense of achievement, confidence, self-esteem and discipline.

A 1st Dan black belt, Vicky is a UKCC Level 1 qualified coach at Leigh Judo Club. Vicky supports the development of all aspects of the club inlcuding supporting and covering training sessions and organisaing social events. Vicky started training at the club with her then 9-year-old son, both having never tried any martial arts before. Fast forward 5 years later, Vicky was the club's first female Dan grade and her son, now 15 years old currently trains in the senior sessions. A qualified teacher with a degree in Forensic Science, Vicky has over 11 years experience as a college lecturer, delivering on science and nutrition based courses.
A 1st Dan Black Belt, Stuart is a UKCC Level 1 qualified coach at Leigh Judo Club. Supporting a number of coaching sessions as well as helping to cover classes when necessary. Originally bringing his daughter to try judo a number of years ago, Stuart is a vital part of the team helping to ensure a family centred club. Stuart is the Chief Welfare Officer for the club ensuring the club fulfils its responsibilities to safeguard children and young people at all levels and has led the successful delivery of the Leigh Judo bi-annular competition.
A 1st Dan Black Belt, Rob is a UKCC Level 2 qualified coach at Leigh Judo Club. Starting judo at the age of 10, Rob has competed in many Judo competitions at regional and national level becoming BJC National Champion in 2012, 2013 and 2015. Originally starting judo at Rakukan Judo Club (BJC), Rob has been involved in judo for over 30 years and has consistently provided coaching for over 10 years. Rob supports the delivery of junior sessions at the club and leads classes on a flexible basis. Rob’s warm and friendly demeanour and positive approach ensures a positive learning experience on the mat for all members.
