From ages 4 – 7 years old, our beginner classes involve lots of fundamental movement patterns to help to build confidence, develop self-awareness, physical fitness and movement literacy. The beginner sessions involve lots of safe falling, tumbling, trips, holds, and escape techniques as gentle introduction into the sport of judo. Most importantly our beginner class is about having fun, making friends and engaging children in sport and activity for the long term.
Upon arriving at the club you will receive a warm welcome by a member of the team. After a brief chat and introduction, we will provide you a welcome booklet with information for you to take home and we will answer any questions you may have.

For your first session we recommned wearing a t-shirt and tracksuit bottoms/shorts as well as bringing a bottle of water for hydration. No booking is required at the club, simply contact us and turn up at one of our classes.
Identified by UNESCO as the best initial training sport for children and young people from 4 to 21 years old. Judo is an excellent sport and martial art for children to learn for many different reasons including to make children more physically healthy, mentally well as well as building confidence, self-esteem, and respect for others. Judo promotes a healthy, active life as well rounded individual and also providing a foundation to excel in many other sports and activities throughout life.
