Beginner classes

From ages 4 – 7 years old, our beginner classes involve lots of fundamental movement patterns

Aged 7-14 years

Junior classes

From 7-14 years old, the junior classes develop the technical aspects of judo through the grading syllabus

Adults 15+

Adult classes

For adults and ages 15+, senior sessions involve the development of all areas of judo

Q: Do I need to book a place in class?

No. Just contact us before hand and turn up prior to the class

Q: What do I need to wear?

Just comfortable clothing that you can move in. We can provide a free loan judo jacket so that you can join in fully.

Q: Will I have to fill in forms?

Yes. We have a consent and medical form for you to fill out before participating in classes.

Q: What is a judo licence?

A judo licence is memebrship to the National Governing Body of judo (British Judo Association)

Q: When do I need a judo licence?

After 4 classes at the club.

Q: What is a judo licence for?

It provides you and others you train with insurance in case of injury, ability to grade at the club and to participate in competitions if you wish to.

Q: How often are gradings?

Often they are every 3 months and we provide advanced notice to our members.

Q: What drink do I bring to training?

We recommend water.

Q: Do I need to buy a judo kit?

Eventually, but we recommend that you try 4 sessions then get a judo licence first.
